How to Make a Landing Page in WordPress.

How to make a landing page in WordPress…(That Rocks)

A landing page is considered to be the worm that catches the mackerel (figuratively speaking).¬†In this post I’d like to discuss, and show you a great training video of how to make a landing page in WordPress.

Not only that. The aim is to show you how to make a landing page in WordPress that absolutely ROCKS!

So what is a landing page?

Essentially, there are 2 basic types of landing page known as Lead Generation and Click Through.

Lead Generation Pages.

Lead generation landing pages are used to capture user data, such as a name and email address.

The sole purpose of the page is to collect information that will allow you to contact and develop a relationship with the prospect over a period of time.

As such, a lead capture page will contain an opt-in form along with an enticement for parting with your email address and name, such as an e-book giveaway, a free report, or training video for example.

Typically you would use an auto-responder to load your pre-written emails to and communicate with your contacts on a regular basis.
Click Through Landing Pages.

A click through landing page is there with the sole intention of  persuading the visitor to click through to another page.

Often used in E-commerce, they can be used to describe a product or offer to get a visitor to the point where they may be warm or open to making a purchase. However, most types of pages rush visitors towards the registration or shopping cart, and this leads to poor conversion. A good click through page will stand between the click and the shopping cart to warm up the visitor and enhance the chance of a purchase.

Landing page training.

If all this seems a little daunting, then I’d like to share a FREE training video specifically on how to make a landing page. It’s presented by the mega-successful affiliate training manager at the Wealthy Affiliate platform and it’s pure GOLD in it’s information.
